The words we use

Hello everyone

The students on LING102 are carrying out a small research project, with the help of Linguistics lecturer Dr Kevin Watson. It’s about the words we use  – words for things, words we used in our school days, words we use for our feelings, and words related to our friends and our social lives.

We want to investigate how words vary across New Zealand – and across the English speaking world!

We need your help. We would be very grateful if you could spare a few minutes to take our survey. It is completely anonymous, so we won’t be able to identify you from your responses, but we will ask you certain questions about, for example, where you grew up and where you live.

If you are willing to take our survey, you can find it at the link below. Many thanks for your time!
